Olimpíadas da Economia

The Economic Olympics are the largest economic training project in Portugal,
aimed at secondary and professional education students.
Their objective is to Unite the Worlds: unite young Portuguese people with a love for science
economy and unite Secondary Education with Higher Education, especially the University
from Coimbra.
The initiative was created in 2013 by a group of students from the Degree in Economics at
FEUC, currently being organized by students and alumni from the University of Coimbra and
by participants from previous editions of the OE.
OE XI are supported by a Scientific and Pedagogical Council, composed of
entirely by professors from FEUC - Faculty of Economics of the University of
Coimbra.
Participation in OE XI is intended for all secondary school students and
professional in schools in Portugal. In this edition the topic under debate will be
"Artificial intelligence".
OE VIII takes place in 3 Phases:
• School Phase, on January 17th and 18th;
• Regional Phase, on March 2nd;
• National Phase, from May 3rd to 5th;
With more than 14,000 participations over the past editions, the OE continues to
seek to increase its commitment to the Portuguese education system and promote
improving economic literacy in Portugal. Be part of us!!
